I hope that normal people are repulsed by the GOP and many deplorables won’t turn out in 2022 without Trump on the ballot. But Democrats must have excellent messaging and a GOTV strategy to prevent a GOP comeback.

There also needs to be an end to The Great Both-Siderist Lie of the mainstream media — the farcical ideas that Republicans are a normal center-right political party, and that all real Republican atrocities need to be ‘balanced’ with breathless coverage of almost entirely imaginary wrongdoing by Democrats.
