False reports to police are illegal. This is just as dangerous for the police and the public as it for the gun owner. I know a lot of people would love to instigate a shootout but it’s illegal. immoral and dangerous.

Who decides what’s false? In some states just feeling threatened by someone’s actions and demeanor is assault—a police matter. How the hell else do you get to stand your ground? A dipshit with a long gun locked and loaded in a restaurant is legal until he pulls the trigger. At that point the silent bystanders have failed their duty to stop a massacre.
