I know that I nor anyone else here agrees with him or his politics, but why not give him proper respects?

Why not indeed? Many R’s did the same thing in Teddy’s last days when he was dying from a similar GB. The gaspers, of course, wished him a cruel and painful, death, but we should all be better than that. It costs us nothing and is the right thing to do.
