There’s a pin on Pinterest that I’ve seen that goes through several iterations of euphemisms for biology, and a follow-on that adds additional phrases for NASA. The one that kills me every time is “lithobraking maneuver” - “the damn thing crashed into the ground.”

Aviation/aerospace has some other really funny euphemisms, such as “CFIT” (controlled flight into terrain).
