It is a lack of basic understanding of the economic model under which health care works. It is not just paying for each visit to the doctor/dentist, but in minimizing the overall costs of healthcare.

We already have socialized medicine in form of the Emergency Health Care Act, which means that emergency care will be provided regardless of ability to pay…and what happens in the cases of those who cannot?

It gets SOCIALIZED. As in the costs get passed on the the diminishing pool of people who can still afford insurance.

And a lot of emergency care could be avoided by simple treatment, pills or therapy that might cost a few hundred bucks instead of an emergency operation that costs tens of thousands.

The Act is very limited; it does not cover chronic conditions — cancer, diabetes, etc. And since the cost is spread to those who have insurance, it’s not really socialized — socialized implies that the cost is paid by the government.

If Trump really wanted to accomplish something good for the country while eliminating the ACA, he would announce support for Medicare for all and actually push it through. But he won’t because he is thoroughly evil as is the entire GOP in Washington.
