I was actually headed to Yonkers for three grueling weeks of work, but went in a few days early (and it was my birthday) and decided it didn’t matter what it cost, we were going to see it. ($450 for rear balcony, but worth every penny—and I made good money on the job in Yonkers so it all worked out.)

That’s what it cost at the beginning of the SF run. I just can’t bring myself to pay that much for a single performance. (My Ring cycle tickets cost $900, but that was four performances — and not rear balcony.)

Several months into the run I paid about $160 for a center orchestra seat.
