Don’t know what you mean. We still measure distance in miles and feet and not kilometers and meters. It’s just a silly thing to run a campaign on.

We went metric around Carter’s time, officially. No one much bought into it except the government and international marketers. Everything I did for the Army had to be metric or both systems. (If you want to kill a bunch of people, take a guy who has worked with thousands of pounds of explosives for 20 years, and make him start working with kilos.)
