I think journalists need to be super careful these days because trump and his team want something completely untrue to point to so they can say SEE! ALL LIES!

I also think reputable journalists know this.

Also, journalists at WaPo (and I think NYT) already have a well-publicized and secure contact address for stuff like this. There’s no reason that the tweeter needs to ask for someone to DM him/her.
