Come Monday all of the news outlet commentators outside of Fox News will be having a field day with what went on at the Tea Party Convention. I also expect to see this on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report since it naturally lends itself to comedy.

The spin from the Dick Armey and Eric Odom wing of the Tea Party will their claim that “this wasn’t the real Tea Party” at play here. Sarah Palin will be seen as ideologically attached to this group and event. Thus far we’ve heard of literacy tests like the days of Jim Crow; a call for theocracy; and a never ending stream of birther conspiracies from the likes of Joseph Farah.
