These two facts are not unrelated. Young black males are basically at the bottom of the heap in America. Recent events have only exacerbated this trend. It’s not surprising that dysfunction results.

You want to improve the lot of young black men in Chicago? A good start would be to establish that a life is worth protecting, regardless of skin color. And that means modification of a legal system that currently privileges whites over blacks.
