I like some of the literature. I concede Hemingway was a sexist asshole but The Sun Also Rises inspired my wanderlust.

He was what he was. He had two stories he had to tell - for me A Farewell To Arms is the book of his with this moment as it’s peak:

“The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.”

Frankly he should have sold his typewriter after that but that’s not how writing goes…
