Well, thanks for the up dings on the above comment, from the left and the right Lizards here. Let me post the rest of it.

“I know many Americans are angry over this health care bill, and that Washington Democrats just aren’t listening,” Boehner said. “But, as I’ve said, violence and threats are unacceptable. That’s not the American way. We need to take that anger and channel it into positive change. Call your congressman, go out and register people to vote, go volunteer on a political campaign, make your voice heard — but let’s do it the right way.”

I gave you a thumbs-up before even though I thought the “That’s not the American way” was misleading. Now that I know those weren’t your words I’m taking my ding back./

It is the American way because it’s the human way. This is what people do, they behave like assholes when they feel angry or they don’t feel like they have any other options. There are thousands and thousands of examples through our history of political violence, for starters we have 4 dead presidents and dozens of attempts on others. It is what it is. Expecting every member of a 300+ million family to behave with decorum is asking a bit much.
