Whoever directed it, it was just fucking awful

Somehow, powered armor troops, inserted via torpedos launch from orbit, with one man armed with enough fire power to effectively control a 2 mile radius around him and a single platoon able to engage along a 50 mile front became a bunch of kids in BMX armor and oversized bulky rifles running in a gagglefuck formation lacking any reasonable form of armor, air or artilley support.
