The biggest kink is going to be that travel across time zones is going to make duplicates of yourself. If you take a trip across three time zones, you’ll have two duplicates, and they could both appear before you even began your trip.

Dang, I was just thinking some more about this, and it shows promise for Great Madness.

Your flight is leaving at leaving at 10:30 p.m., and you’ll be traveling from NYC to Albuquerque — Eastern to Central to Mountain time, taking one hour to cross each time zone. You’re waiting to board at 10. You’re told that the flight you’re about to board has just appeared in Central Time after 30 minutes in the air — you send text messages to yourself, tee hee, you’re talking to yourself, get the sports scores.

You do not receive a text message from yourself from the Mountain Time Zone. In fact, your plane has not arrived in the Mountain Time Zone. Eastern-You and Central-You learn that. Neither of you have any idea why.

Do you get on the plane? Does time make you get on the plane? If you refuse to board, what happens to Central-You? Do they land the plane, thus causing Mountain-You not to appear because they landed early? Or did Mountain-You die in a plane crash which has now been averted, leaving duplicates of everyone on the plane?
