I keep seeing the argument from liberals “well, we should have the sort of guns the II Amendment applied to in the XVIII Century: flintlocks.”

I’m not a particular fan of that not-well-thought out argument: I would not prefer to read Little Green Footballs in pamphlet form as the I Amendment might have applied in the XVIII Century.

Ditto. I prefer not to give the gun nuts such easy arguments to refute.
