Texas school district suspends teacher for allegedly speaking about gender issues to elementary students.

The whole issue is a crapfest. The teacher is in a same-sex marriage; according to her lawyer, students asked about her marriage. She asserts it’s her right to speak of her marriage.

Her lawyer accused the school district of trying to intimidate her supporters by releasing all sorts of information about her.

The school asserts they told her to “change her behaviour” (regarding speaking to elementary students); the lawyer asserts they did no such thing.

She is suspended with pay while the school investigates.

It would appear if you are in an opposite-sex marriage it’s acceptable to talk about your marriage in Texas; if you are in a same-sex marriage you are not even “separate but equal.”
