P.S. That’s my tweet. They changed the official interpretation of INA 320, but not INA 322, which applies if the parent hasn’t met the residency requirement to automatically pass on citizenship at birth.

I note in the statement that even if an American stationed overseas came home and had a child here whilst taking regular leave, living in their own property, the child would still not qualify.
