So Durst likely died, either directly or indirectly, from the COVID he acquired in prison. His death is of no loss to the world, but it is troubling that prisons continue to be unable to control the spread of the disease, given they’ve been aware of this problem since the pandemic first struck.

To be fair, a prison would be one of the hardest imaginable places to keep covid-free.
