Should the Israelis deal with Hamas?

Holbrooke, et al, were third parties. Mladic and Karadic weren’t hunting Americans, unlike Hamas for who a primary goal is the eradicatoin not just of the State of Israel, but of Jews as well.

The Israelis deal with the PA because they have formalized recognition of Israel- ostensibly.

Hamas is a whole other ballgame, is it not?
