Maybe if the GOP loses in 2014, after spending oodles of money, the “base” will finally start to get it. I can just imagine the brain of the average “base” GOP voter starting to wind up, much like an arthritic hamster in a wheel, and coming, slowly, oh so slowly, to the conclusion that they’ve been swindled.

Yeah, I know……..wishful thinking on my part.

The fact that a Republican presidential candidate has won the popular vote only once in the last 24 years (and it has been 3 out of 4 losing election cycles over all for the GOP) would tend to indicate that you are being overly optimistic.
