last night we were out to dinner with some folks. mrs dm and the two others were wondering why all the flags were at half mast. One of them mentioned “right - at the firehouses”.

i said i know a guy, lives in a small town in nebraska, wears that hat for the town, and knows this stuff. He explained to us at lgf, about the fallen firefighters memorial.

yeah - i was totally smug
