Just him taking the same risks as any other USN flight crew. And, of course, he wasn’t piloting the plane - he was just a passenger.

Not all landings on a carrier go the right way all the time. He may have just been a passenger, but he was also the freaking President in very troubled times.

I sure would like to hear others opinions, especially those that are more military/aircraft oriented than I am. And also those that may know more about acceptable risks for presidents.
