I cooked our turkey last night in the oven. Topside was a little dry, but otherwise delicious. Whipped up some side dishes in about half an hour this morning, and we feasted well. Now we have the Vikings game on and are relaxing. Cleanup? Pfft, that can wait.

I’m expecting 9 guests (3 friends, 6 “park orphans”) for our feast later this afternoon. I’ve got the fire pit prepped for a campfire which seems appropriate for a traditional-not-traditional kinda BBQ Thanksgiving feast. We’ll see how it goes and if it deserves to become a new tradition. Having a blast so far.
