If the wheels really do come off the Trump train and they all end up in jail and the nation does manage to repudiate the whole mess, the history of this era will be filed under “Hubris”.

The astonishing level of simultaneous corruption, incompetence, and arrogant stupidity is mindblowing. I mean, Jared Kushner is supposed to be the SMART one in the family, right? And here he is, caught in webs of his own making because rather than admit to contacts with Russians, he told easily exposed lies. But they all did! I think this is how they have conducted themselves their whole lives, and they never thought that things might have changed.

Let’s hope the history of this era actually gets written….
