Thank you both. I’m watching a Russian miniseries on Trotsky right and it’s interesting seeing the inner divisions that existed in the Soviets. I’ve always been fascinated by that. In the right too.

There were splits and divisions all through Soviet history, Stalin kept a lid on it but they bubbled right back up to the surface after his death: the Russian nationalists vs the Internationalists, the socialist purists vs the market-leaning liberals, the hawks vs the less-hawkish, heck, there was even a budding environmentalist movement in the USSR…
