I have read a serious suggestion of a four day work week that I liked. Sunday off, Monday & Tuesday on, then Wednesday off, Thursday & Friday on, with Saturday still the usual weekend.

Combine this with universal health care and a guaranteed minimum income for serious long term societal gains in productivity and happiness.
