Exactly, and you know as well as I do that if a Democratic candidate had said what Newt said, they would be going crazy. Instead Obama is compared to fucking Stalin. Again I wouldn’t have criticized the court but the right wing outrage over what Obama said was just so stupid. And considering their own attacks on “activist judges”, I guess it hurt when Obama made the correct point that judicial activism isn’t only practiced by left leaning judges.

That’s one that actually made my head spin when talking with another wingnut, whose response to Obama’s comments was to opine aloud that this was likely the beginning of a concerted effort by Democrats to tarnish the reputation of SCOTUS.
