The Mother Jones article indicates a split opening up between the NRA and some of these open-carry activists.

That’s because the NRA is getting an earful from the politicians they’ve bought and paid for. The constituents of those politicians are complaining about the open carry nutjobs and demanding action of some sort.

The open carry idiots are not only hurting their own cause by pissing off the big corporate chains, but they’re making it harder for the NRA to lobby for looser gun laws.

Sounds like some of the more hardcore base may defect to a nuttier organization or perhaps strike out on their own. In any event, these open-carry activists come off looking like loons.

They ARE loons. And they’ll probably hook up with Gun Owners of America. You know, because the NRA are too liberal when it comes to gun laws.
