They probably don’t know their story either. They’re the sorts for whom history began the day they were born.

They were told the same story that every descendant of white immigrants was: “Your family came over in the perfectly legal fashion and became Americans, which is why you’re so much better than all those ignorant and filthy foreigners who want to come here and take our jobs and tax dollars.”
