Yeah, especially when Germany’s offensive plan (devised by a Wehrmacht officer named Falkenhorst, IIRC) consisted of going around the Maginot Line.
It was actually based off the Schlieffen Plan of WW1, but with the addition of a massive column of tanks punching through the Ardennes, which the French had mistakenly assumed was all but impossible.
Nothing is impossible. As the French found out at great cost.
I can imagine no(t) line…get it?
