Maybe I’m being naive, but my guess is still that if Trump fired Mueller, there’s still enough reasonable people in the GOP that they’d turn on him… if only for self-preservation.

They will knot their brows and express their concern. The voters then have to toss them out of office. The odds of the Democrats winning the House improved considerably with the Pa Supreme Court’s ruling that Pennsylvania’s gerrymandered congressional districts have to be redrawn.
