Civic Arena, Pittsburgh? Like I said, this was my first ROCK concert. I was drug to see The Osmonds along with my sisters by my mom before that, but I would hardly call that a rock concert. I bet in my moms head she pictured that concert in her head when I asked to go to see Alice Cooper with aunt Mary. Those 2 concerts couldn’t have been more different.

Well my first rock concert was Frank Zappa at Pittsburgh’s Syria Shrine May 1973. Same day as the Senior Prom. It was more important to me to see Frank live. Everyone who went to the prom got the next day off of school. I lied. Mom vouched that I was “sick”. It was worth it to see Frank and the Mothers!
