He told me nothing I didn’t know already, but I’m one of these people who finds motivation in hearing such things from people I respect, or folk in authority.

He said to knock it off. Said, as I had thought, that if this is real love, it can last until the children are out of the house; otherwise, he said, it’s not real, and it’s not worth the potential harm we could do to others from it.

Now, I’ve just got to summon up the courage to tell the lady this, and find the best way to do so.
