That’s the ol’ zero-sum Thanksgiving spirit.

I notice that the same folks who see it as a zero sum game at the bottom insist just the opposite for folks at the top. IOW, they claim that the rich getting richer doesn’t affect their compensation, but that some other working class guy getting better compensation makes them poorer.

I think it reflects their elitist, authoritarian view of the economy where the economy is driven by rich people and the rest of us are just along for the ride.
