Doxing itself is real. It’s when someone releases personal info about you, usually gained through some hacking, on the web. “Dox” is hacker-ese for “documents.”

I’ve generally seen it associated with Anonymous when they attack people. Ars Technicha has had some decent coverage of them over the last year or so. I’m wondering if Liberty Chick found one of these stories and decided it to bullshit it up, like the swatting stuff.

These Twitter attackers have super-powers. They can find personal info on anyone in mere seconds just by looking at their Twitter profile. Dang, that’s scary.
