Mom is in her mid-70s. Insists they didn’t make shoes without heels (except for sneakers) when she was growing up. I’m also pretty sure she’s no longer 5’8”. Meanwhile my twin sister is 5’2’ and I’m just a smidge under 5’ nothing.
