It’s kinda funny - I never really realized just how much I was into the whole “strong, intelligent woman” trope. Growing up in Indiana, I wasn’t exactly flush in those types as friends. It was through reading books with strong-yet-feminine characters that it struck me just how different my “type” was from the women I knew. Then Mrs. Fish came along and sorta forced the issue.
