The only reason I like not having a basement is WATER. I still miss the storage.

When I had a basement, my sump pump died twice (always in the winter, of course.)

Then, when I moved to a place with no basement, and my hot water heater crapped out while I was out of town and flooded my whole first floor.

Can’t win for losing.
