If I understand it correctly, the law where congress can demand and “shall” be given a president’s tax returns was created out of the Teapot Dome Scandal. That was about using an elected office for office holder’s own benefit. Grifting.

It appears the media and most others discussion about the Democrats demanding Trump’s taxes is about trying to find a connection to Russia through business deals.

Are the Democrats saying that is the reason for the releases or have they not defined the reason for their request and the media and everyone is running with the thinking the tax forms are a “gotcha” because the Mueller Report didn’t make the connection (so they say)?

To me all the Democrats need to say is they are using the law exactly for what it was intended, the president is being looked at for profiting off the office. Tell the media it hasn’t anything to do with Russian collusion it is all about the questions of Trump benefiting from the office, which many investigations are doing.

That has been and remains a concern from the day he took office, even before Mueller was put on the job.

Doesn’t matter because the corrupted Supreme Court will block the Mueller report and Trump’s tax returns from being disclosed.

And the liars in the press will continue to push the “President is being persecuted” bullshit.
