I tend to subscribe to that theory: my (ex-) wife and I were a great genetic combination, we produced some beautiful and inteeligent offspring, but we just could not stand each other once we had reproduced.

I think that happens more often than not.

We are attracted for “evolutionary” reasons and once that purpose is fufilled, the “thrill” is gone.

Worked out fine when people didn’t live so long. Now we have to make some moral truth out of it and get all emotional about laws and shit.
