The state-contracted prisons remain. Love to see Fed funds cut to state corrections programs that use them.

We can hope this is a big part of turning that around. There are already rumblings of change. I’ve seen more stories about the shortcomings of private prisons in the news and Univ. of CA recently divested their private prison holdings after students demonstrated over the issue.
It will all take time, but I am hopeful.
