Talking about TV “back in the day” reminds me that, as an early Milennial, I remember the days back when TV networks would actually have an “end of broadcast day.” Then came the rise of infomercials while cable networks started showing whatever old shows they could get their hands on (ex: Nick at Nite).

I suddenly feel the need to scream at some kid to get off my lawn.

I’m a late GenXer/early Millennial and I don’t remember the “end of broadcast day”. I sort of remember it as a trope of old cartoons and TV shows, but I don’t recall ever actually seeing them, beyond maybe the UHF channels.
