I fear for our civilization when our media outlets when they peddle conspiracy theories and elevate them to speak as equals with those who deal with facts.

Trump’s virulent racism is treated as magic balance fairy bulkshit or ignored as though the media has collective amnesia about what Trump did last week, last month, or last time he ran in 2015/2016. Trump has now and has always been a racist and bigot. Nothing has changed. He uses the same tactics, and knows that the media wont bother holding him accountable. And the handful of GOPers who are speaking out on this aren’t blameless either.

You lost. The party of Lincoln is now the party of the KKK and white supremacists.

It didn’t happen overnight. It was decades in the making as the racist policies and polite language gave way to racist policies and overt fascist and white supremacists like Trump.

Trump knows the GOP wont either. They’re cowards who fear the dragon of white supremacy they’ve spent decades cultivating. This didn’t happen overnight. It took decades of blaming nonwhites for the problems angry white guys have as opportunities and jobs pass them by. It’s easier to blame the black guy for the white guy’s problem than to tackle chronic under-education, lack of job opportunities, retraining, and reorienting the economy to address worker needs in light of increased automation.

It’s easier to claim MAGA than to do anything to actually make it great - unless you think making it great means stopping nonwhites from coming here to take your jobs.

Do these angry white guys think that nonwhite doctors are taking their jobs? That nonwhite migrant farm workers are taking their jobs?

These are the jobs that these angry white guys aren’t doing - because they don’t have the skills or the will to do them. Yeah. They wont go out in the fields to pick crops. They think it’s beneath them or that they can’t handle more than a few days in the fields before their bodies revolt against all the repetitive motion, the pain of lifting heavy crates, and the inability to go to the bathroom in sanitary conditions.
