Virginia becoming a purplish blue state has done too. But if Texas became an in play state, man that would just be nuts. I don’t think it happens for another few elections but it will happen and I think really put the GOP in a bad spot. The GOP’s years of treating Hispanics like pond scum will catch up with them and that’s why they resist immigration reform. The more honest ones admit it. They just phrase it with bullshit about how the Democratic Party is “buying” Latino votes.
