I had to stop watching once she couldn’t get 5 x 5. 12 x 12 was bad enough…but 5 x 5=20. You can add that up…no need to multiply.

Again, 12 years of Catholic school. Can’t get much more religious than that. However, the nuns would have hung their heads in shame if a third grader couldn’t answer 5 times 5.

And you know what. I do believe the nuns would have been more upset that one of their students couldn’t answer 5 times 5 than had they failed at remembering some Bible story. Why? Because they knew we had to live in the world and they wanted us to be successful at it. They knew the difference between spiritual and reality.

6 years in a Catholic school here, also taught by nuns. Yeah, times table is pretty much etched into my spine… Were yours Notre Dame?
