Work related gripe.

My boss: We have an important meeting this morning but it will only take 15 minutes.

The actual meeting: 47 minutes.

Because who cares about sticking to a schedule? Not like that’s important or anything.

I’ve noted an uptick of this since going remote. People are like, “Well, everyone’s on the call, and your calendars are all free, so…” No. Miss me with that shit. I have other things to do with my day, such as the actual job you’re paying me an obscene amount of money to do, so get me off the damn phone. If you want to bring up a new topic, schedule a new meeting.
