This thread reminded me of a issue I really don’t know how to address. I spend a lot of time on a old car hobbiest web site and we occasional discuss issues that are off topic. One poster who is very popular in the hobby often posts cleverly disguised racist comments that he uses to sway folks to his way of thinking.
After some research, I found he was a very active, and well know member of Crosstar, a white nationalist hate group. Problem is, he is otherwise a well respected car nut, and his racism is not well known. How should I deal with the issue, since he is spreading his racist crap without being extremely overt about it ? I’m convinced the group would be shocked to find a respected hobbyist was a neo-Nazi that is spreading his hate covertly.
Do I just e-mail him and suggest he stick to hobby topics since I know his background or what ?
