That was Brady, and I’ll remind you that Mark Kirk won a state-wide election in the same year. Although it must be admitted that Kirk was greatly helped by his not being anti-abortion, though an even larger factor was the fact that his opponent had run Chicago’s Bright Start program into the ground. This year, Republicans should say that Quinn has helped run the entire state into the ground and that Illinois needs a governor able to stand up to Michael Madigan and the Chicago Machine.

The Land of Lincoln is a place where Lincoln’s party can win in 2014.
