Here’s how I think we’re going to have to defeat it: Pay for some of it. If you want to control the content, then you have to be the source of income, not the source of eyeballs only. And maybe some of us subsidize the content for others (I can pay will others here don’t have extra money), but we’re going to have to end advertiser led news content.

Agree, but how do we get new eyeballs looking? The disaffected, occasional voters? To me, that is who we need to reach. If we could pick up just 5% of the reluctant voters, and keep them engaged, we’d make great strides. But we’re not going to get them through anything like LGF or MSNBC.
