If you ignore that fact that, at bottom, it is utter wingnut bullshit, the “accusation” -however vile - holds together. Then again, anyone who would take Gateway Pundit as a serious “news” source probably isn’t likely to have a lot of logic circuits firing at the same time anyway…

There are, sadly, a lot of people who take Drudge as a “legitimate” news aggregator and therefore assume that because Drudge includes SMOTI it must have gone through some kind of vetting.
